Job DescriptionThe Medical Office Assistant (MOA) is responsible for a variety of clinical, clerical and coordination services to support high quality, cost effective patient care in the Advocate/Aurora Clinics at Walgreens.
The MOA supports on-site providers and virtual patient care delivery via use of Tytocare technology while on site at the retail clinics.

60/hour Part-time hires eligible for up to a $500 sign-on bonus (new hires only) Part-time opportunities available at several Advocate Clinics at Walgreens sites in the following locations throughout the western suburbs of Chicago:

Responsibilities:
Provide clinical and administrative support to remote Advanced Practice Clinician while on site at Advocate/Aurora Clinics at Walgreens Complete the patient registration process, which includes documenting patient demographics, processing insurance and copays and scheduling patient appointments in the electronic medical record.
Facilitate waiting room management and patient rooming processes.
Complete vitals and point of care testing on patients.
Monitor supply inventory, order clinical and office supplies.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers, APCs, Walgreens store management and ACW leadership in support of patient care delivery.
Responsible for maintaining a safe, professional, and organized clinic environment.
Must be available to work rotating weekends.
Other duties as assigned.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required within 21 days of start date.
Education Required:
High school Diploma or GEDExperience Required:
Preferred 1-2 years' experience in clinical and/or customer service setting.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills; ability to develop rapport and maintain positive, professional relationships with a variety of patients, staff and clinicians.
Proficient computer skills including typing, navigation within a windows operating system, use of electronic mail and electronic medical records systems.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Travel between sites of care- may be requested to work at nearby Advocate/Aurora Clinic at Walgreens sites to fulfill business needs.
Flexible hours The candidate must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies and moving equipment.
Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine-hand manipulation skills.
Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
